Scheme for currency

The amount of the transaction made with the plastic card will be deducted from the account of the currency in which the amount has been disbursed. If the client has the card account in the transaction currency, the amount will be deducted from the corresponding currency account, while the amount not sufficient for the transaction will be covered by debiting the priority currency account.

The full amount of USD 50 will be deducted from the USD account, and the negative balance of USD 10 will be covered from the GEL account through the conversion at the commercial exchange rate set by the Bank at the moment of non-cash transaction.**

**Please note that the day of the transaction and the day of its posting on the account may differ; the date of the transaction reflection in the account and the date of the conversion may likewise differ.

If the requested amount exceeds the balance in the currency account corresponding to the requested amount and there is nosufficient balance in the priority currency account, the amount of the transaction will be deducted from the consecutive currency account. When processing such transaction, regardless of whether there is a sufficient balance in the respective currency of the transaction, the amount is deducted from the account corresponding to the currency of the transaction. The account balances are then adjusted by conversion from the consecutive priority currency account.

If the currency of the transaction amount differs from the currencies linked to the card account and the card account is in three currencies – the currency exchange rate will be determined by VISA/MC. The transaction amount deduction is reflected at the VISA/MC exchange rate effective on the day of processing the transaction in the settlement system.

Note: due to the fact that the amount could be debited several days after the transaction has been carried out by the client, it should be taken into account that the Visa Mastercard exchange rate at the time of blocking the amount and the exchange rate effective on the day of processing the transaction by the settlement system may differ.

As the amount has been disbursed in a currency other than the currency (GEL, USD, EUR) provided by the card system, the amount will be deducted from the USD account at the exchange rate set by VISA/MC on the processing day of transaction in settlement system; if there are insufficient funds in the USD account, the transaction will be reflected as per examples 1 and 2 given above.
Currency conversion between accounts is always carried out at the commercial exchange rates in effect on a given date.
