By applying the modern technologies, VTB Bank permanently cares about security of its clients, but, in order to guarantee the secure cooperation, clients shall also observe the security measures.

Take into account that VTB Bank mobile application has an access to your phone:

  • memory
  • exact location (GPS & network data);
  • Based on the location, the application allows you finding the nearest ATM/branch office;
  • contacts list;
  • SMS system;
  • Application automatically requests SMS authorisation service;
  • Photos.

Protection:

  • Do not leave unattended mobile device with installed VTB Mobile application, especially when you’re logged on into the Mobile Bank;
  • Do not share username and password with others;
  • Do not send confidential information by e-mail. The bank will never request from you sending such full information by e-mail. If you receive the message containing such request, immediately call +995 32 2242424 and delete the message;
  • Do not store confidential information (username, password, authorisation code) in computer, internet or mobile phone in files that are not password-protected;
  • After you finish working in the application, due to safety reasons, always use ‘Exit’ button of main functional menu on the left side;
  • Protect mobile with the password;

Also, take into consideration that:

  • In case of 10-minute inactivity, the application session will automatically terminate;
  • Your username and password shall be unique;
  • Any transaction/transfer requires additional authorisation.

While using mobile bank app information about your location, mobile bank application version, as well as device brand, model, name, operation system version, identification(s) and/or number may be used by the bank for product and service improvement and fraud prevention purposes.

Third party applications/services: Additionally, mobile bank may send information about transaction and/or action initiation or accomplishment on your bank card and/or account linked to the card, as well as information about the card to processing center, mobile wallet/mobile payment system and/or to bank card operator payment system (e.g. Visa or Mastercard), which is/are involved in processing of transaction and/or action initiation or accomplishment. These services are in compliance with GDPR (General Data Protection Guide).

Retention/deletion policy: You are able to request to stop processing of above-mentioned information and/or deletion of your data. In order to do so, You will have to stop using those services, that caused processing of your above-mentioned information and send request via mobile banking inbox. Thereafter we will add you to suppression list and your data will not be transmitted to other applications.

How can I register for the Mobile Bank?
If you have not yet registered for the VTB Internet and Mobile Banks, you can do this directly from the online Mobile Bank application. You will only need a mobile phone number registered with the Bank and any active VTB Bank card.
To start registration, click the „Registration“ button on the first page of the application. 
• Step 1: Click the „Start“ button on the opened page
• Step 2: Enter your personal number and mobile phone number registered with VTB Bank 
• Step 3: Enter the one-time SMS code received on your mobile phone
• Step 4: Select the preferred method of verification: using the card details or a one-time code sent by e-mail
• Step 5:
  - If you choose verification with card details, enter the first 6 and the last 4 digits and the card expiry date and then click „Next“.
  - If you choose verification by e-mail, enter the one-time code received to the mail registered with the Bank and then click „Next“.
• Step 6: Enter a username of your choice. (Keep in mind that the username is unique and you may not choose a username already used by someone else). Type the password and then repeat it in the next field. (Note that the password must meet the minimum security requirements, prescribed by the MobileBank. The password indicated in both fields must be the same). Click the „Next“button.
• Step 7: You are already registered with Mobile Bank. With the created username and password, you can now use both Mobile and Internet Banks.

How can I start using VTB Bank's mobile application?
To use the Mobile Bank you must be a customer of VTB Bank.
• If you are not existing customer of VTB Bank, you can register online at the following link: vtb-onboarding.pulsar.ai/. To register, you will need an identity card (ID card) and a "selfie". Once you have successfully completed registration, you will be issued with a Visa card. To start using Mobile Banking after you have registered, follow the steps below.
• If you are existing customer of VTB Bank and have at least 1 active account with us, then download  the Mobile Bank from the relevant applications „Store“ on your mobile phone.

  • On iPhone: Type VTB Mobile Bank in the App Store search field and download the VTB Mobile Bank (Georgia) application. Click the "GET" button to download the application.
  • On Android: Type VTB Mobile Bank in the Google Play search field and download the VTB Mobile Bank (Georgia)application. Click the „Install” button to download the application.

How can I register for the Mobile Bank?

How do I log in to the Mobile Bank? 
To log into Mobile Bank for the first time, open the application and enter your username and password. Then on the next page, enter the one-time SMS code you received to your mobile phone number registered with the Bank.
To make it easier and quicker for you to access your accounts in the future, activate one of the easy login methods in your Mobile Bank settings: 
• Passcode (login with a 5-digit code);
• Biometrics (fingerprint or facial scan login), only on compatible phones.

How can I activate the simple log in to the Mobile Bank?
To activate the simple log in 
• Step 1: Log in to Mobile Bank,
• Step 2: Click on your avatar in the top right corner of the home page
• Step 3: Click the security button on the page that opens
• Step 4: Select your security level from the list
• Step 5: Activate the desired log in and authorization method:

  • Passcode (login and transaction verification using 5-digit code);
  • Biometrics (login and transaction verification using fingerprint or facial scan; available on compatible phones only).

What if I do not remember my password?
If you do not remember your password, on the log in page click „Forgot password?“ 
• Step 1: Click the „Start“ button on the page that opens
• Step 2: Enter your personal number and mobile phone number registered with VTB Bank
• Step 3: Enter the on-time SMS code received on your mobile phone
• Step 4: Select the preferred method of verification: with card details or one-time code sent to e-mail 
• Step 5:

  • If you choose verification with card details, enter the first 6 and the last 4 digits and the card expiry date and then click „Next“.
  • If you choose verification by e-mail, enter the one-time code received to the mail registered with the Bank and then click „Next“.

You will receive an updated one-time password to your mobile phone number registered with the bank, which will enable you to access the Mobile Bank. Please note that for security reasons you will have to change the password received via SMS the first time you log in.

I cannot download the Mobile Bank application to my mobile phone, why?
There are 2 main reasons for this:
• The mobile phone has no internet access. Get the mobile internet activated on your mobile phone or connect to the active wireless Internet, so called  WiFi.
• There is no sufficient free memory in the mobile phone. Delete unnecessary files or applications and try downloading the application again. 

Why is the downloaded application not opening?
This should not normally happen. However, if it does, your mobile phone may not have enough memory. Delete unnecessary files or applications and try opening the application again. If it still doesn't open, contact us at (032) 224 24 24 and we will do our best to help you.

Why cannot I log in to the new Mobile Bank with my old mobile bank password?
In 2020, VTB Bank created and presented to the customers fully upgraded Internet Bank, and in 2021 the renewed Mobile Bank was introduced. Both products were developed on a completely new platform that ensures greater security, speed and comfort for users. In February 2020, we migrated the logins and passwords of all Internet and Mobile Bank users to the new systems. However, if you have since updated your password, you will not be able to log in to the new Mobile Bank with the password updated in the old system. 
To log in to the Mobile Bank, please update your password at the new Mobile Bank.

Why are the new added features not showing up at the Mobile Bank? 
Your Mobile Bank might not have been updated to the latest version. To update your Mobile Bank application, open the „Store“, find the VTB Mobile Bank application and click the Update button. To keep your Mobile Bank application up to date, enable the automatic update function in your mobile phone settings.

How can I top up my mobile phone balance?
• Step 1: Log in to the Mobile Bank and tap the „Top-up“ button
• Step 2: Enter you mobile phone number or choose from your phone contact list, enter the amount, or select the appropriate package and click the „Next“
• Step 3: Double-check the transaction details and confirm.

How can I pay utility or other bills?
• Step 1: Login to Mobile Bank
• Step 2: Go to payment page and select Payments from the list
• Step 3: Click on the „Make Payment“ button
• Step 4: Select the required category 
• Step 5: Search or select the provider from the list
• Step 6: Enter identifier, i.e. service subscriber number and click to verify  
• Step 7: Enter the payment amount and account and click „Make Payment “
• Step 8: Double-check the payment details and confirm the transaction
To simplify future payments, keep the bill payments in templates. The bills will be automatically generated by the provider. You can also create template groups - e.g. home group, summer house group -  and include all related payments - electricity, gas, water, waste collection, Internet, TV and more.

How do I pay police or parking fine?
• Step 1: Login to Mobile Bank
• Step 2: Go to payments page and select „Parking & Fines“ from the list
• Step 3: Click „Pay fines“ in the payment type list
• Step 4: Select police or parking fines from the list
• Step 5: In the opened field, enter the receipt number and vehicle plate number. Then click the „Verify“  button
• Step 6: Check the displayed fine information and, if you agree, select the account and click the „Next“ Step 7: Double check the payment details and confirm the transaction.

How can I purchase a parking pass?
• Step 1: Login to Mobile Bank
• Step 2: Go to the payment page and select „Parking & fines“ from the list
• Step 3: Select „Parking“ from the list
• Step 4: Select the relevant city parking company from the list 
• Step 5: Enter vehicle plate number and personal number in corresponding fields and then click „Verify“.
• Step 6: Check the displayed information and, if you agree, select the account and click the „Next“ 
• Step 7: Double-check the payment details and confirm the transaction.

How do I convert money?
• Step 1: Login to Mobile Bank
• Step 2: Go to the payment page and select „Conversion“ from the list
• Step 3: Select the account of the currency you want to sell
• Step 4: Then select the account of the currency you want to buy
• Step 5: Enter the amount to sell and Mobile Bank will calculate the amount you will get in another currency. If you specify the amount to be purchased, it will calculate the amount you will need to sell. Please note that the preferential conversion rate applies to conversions with a total amount of GEL 20,000 per day performed via Mobile Bank.That is, you convert money at a better rate than in the Bank branch.
• Step 6: Check the conversion details and, if you agree, click the „Next“ 
• Step 7: Double-check the conversion details and confirm the transaction.

How can I transfer money to someone else?
• Step 1: Login to Mobile Bank
• Step 2: Go to the payments page and select „Transfer to another person“ from the list
• Step 3: Enter the recipient’s name or surname, or the company name
• Step 4: Enter the recipient’s IBAN account number (if the account is held at VTB Bank, the recipient’s name will be filled in automatically)
• Step 5: Enter the account from which you want to transfer money and the amount to be transferred
• Step 6: Specify the purpose of the transfer, for example „Personal Transfer“ and click the „Next“
• Step 7: Double check the transfer details and confirm the transaction
To simplify future transfers, save the transfer in templates. All fields will be filled in automatically upon selecting the template on the transfer page. You will be able to customize the details, such as changing the amount or purpose of the transfer.

How can I transfer money to the Treasury?
Please note that money can be transferred to the Treasury either by a person accountable to the Treasury or by someone else on its behalf. In both cases, you will need the treasury code for the intended purpose of the transfer, and in the case of the transfer for another person - additionally the name and personal number of the person on behalf of whom you want to transfer the money.
• Step 1: Login to Mobile Bank
• Step 2: Go to the payments page and select „Transfer to Treasury“ from the list
• Step 3: First specify whether you want to transfer in your name or in the name of another person 
• Step 4: Enter the treasury code or set it by clicking on the search button and check the recipient’s details, which will be filled in automatically as per specified treasury code. 
• Step 5: Enter the account from which you want to transfer money and the amount to be transferred
• Step 7: Double check the transfer details and confirm the transaction
To simplify future transfers, save the transfer in templates. All fields will be filled in automatically upon selecting the template on the transfer page. You will, though, be able to customize the details, such as changing the amount or purpose of the transfer.

How can I view my statement?
• Step 1: Login to Mobile Bank, on the first page you will see the latest transactions
• Step 2. To view the detailed statement, go to the required account
• Step 3. Click the filter button and simplify the process of locating the transactions by using the appropriate filters.
You can export both the statement and the specific transaction and/or share it with others persons

Where I can view my loans?
•    Step 1: Login to Mobile Bank
•    Step 2: On the very first page tap the icon  and your loans will appear
•    Step 3: Click on the loan to view its details
•    Step 4: By clicking on different tabs you can get the information you need – loan schedule, repayment history, loan terms and other

How can I view the current payment amount and due date?
• Step 1: Login to Mobile Bank
• Step 2: On the very first page tap the icon  and your loans will appear. In the list of loans in the right-hand corner, you will see the amount of the next instalment and the date of payment.

How can I check the repayment schedule and the amounts already paid?
• Step 1: Login to Mobile Bank
• Step 2: On the very first page tap the icon  and your loans will appear
• Step 3: Click on the loan you want from the list
• Step 4: Click the  icon on the page that opens
• Step 5 a: Click the tab  „Schedule“ to view the loan schedule,

Can I get a loan via the Mobile Bank?

How do I repay my loan early?
Unfortunately, at this stage you will not be able to repay your loan early via the Mobile Bank. To do this, you can call us at Video Bank: videobank.ge or visit any branch of the Bank.

Where can I view my deposits?
• Step 1: Login to Mobile Bank
• Step 2: On the very first page tap the icon  and your loans will appear.
• Step 3: Click on the deposit you want to view its details and terms

How do I add money to deposit?
• Step 1: Login to Mobile Bank
• Step 2: Go to the payment page and select „Transfer to my accounts" from the list
• Step 3: Select the account from which you would like to transfer money to the deposit
• Step 4: Select the deposit account you wish to top up
• Step 5: Enter the transfer amount and click „Next“
• Step 6: Check the transfer details and confirm the transaction

Can I open a deposit through the Mobile Bank?
Unfortunately, you will not be able to open a deposit at the Mobile Bank at this stage. To do this you can call Videobank: videobank.ge or visit a VTB Bank branch.

How can I break my deposit?
Unfortunately, you will not be able to break a deposit in Mobile Bank at this stage. To do this you can call us at Video Bank: videobank.ge or visit any branch of the Bank.

I did not receive an SMS code required for verification. What should I do?
Sometimes the SMS is delayed due to the fault of the bank or the mobile network operator. Should you fail to receive the SMS on time, click the Resend SMS button.
Also make sure that the SMS is sent to the number you are waiting to receive it. The Bank sends SMS confirmation codes to the mobile phone number that the customer had registered in the Bank's customer database. If the mobile phone number does not match the number you are currently using, visit any branch and update your contact information

Why is the simple login function activated at the old mobile bank not working with the new Mobile Bank?
The first time you log in to the new Mobile Bank you will have to go through the full authorisation process with your username, password and SMS one-time code. However, after first logging in you will be able to activate the simple login function. To do this, see the simple login instructions at the beginning of the document.

How do I lock my card?
• Step1: Login to Mobile Bank
• Step 2: On the very first page, click the icon  to go to the cards’ page.
• Step 3: Click on the required card in the list
• Step 4: Tap on the icon 
• Step 5: On the opened page, drag and drop the card lock button to the right 
• Step 6: Select the reason for blocking*. Complete the action.
* Note: You can only unlock the card remotely if you choose to „Temporally Lock“ it. In other cases, you will have to unlock the card in person.

I cannot unlock my card, why?
The card can be unlocked remotely only if it was locked with „Temporally Lock“ status. In other cases, visit the Bank branch to unlock the card.

How can I share my account?
• Step 1: Login to Mobile Bank and click the relevant account on the first page
• Step 2: On the account details page click the share icon   in the upper right corner 
• Step 3: Select the preferred sharing method and recipient of the information.

How do I change my username/password?
• Step 1: Login in to Mobile Bank and click on the avatar located in the top right corner of the first page  
• Step 2: Click on the „Security“ button on the profile page that opens
• Step 3: Select „Change name“ or „Change password“
• Step 4 a: To change a user name, type a new user name (it may not be used by another user), get confirmed with the password and click the confirmation button.
• Step 4 b: To change the password, first enter the current password in the first field, and the new password in the second and third fields. The new password must meet the minimum security requirements. The information in the second and third fields must be the same 
• Step 5: Confirm the action by clicking the confirmation button

How can I view my bonus points?
To see your bonus points, log in to Mobile Bank and click on your avatar in the top right corner of the first page. Accrued bonus points will appear on the page that opens. 1 point = 1 GEL.
Unfortunately, at this stage you will not be able to use bonus points in the Mobile Bank, however this option will be available soon.

How can I cashout bonus account balance?
Your balance on bonus account is in already Georgian Lari, not bonus points. In order to cash them out:
• Step 1: Login in to Mobile Bank 
• Step 2: Go to the payment page and select transfer „to own account“
• Step 3: Select bonus account in the first drop down
• Step 4: Select desired account on which you would lie to transfer bonus balance in the second drop down.
• Step 5: enter desired amount to cashout and press “Next”
• Step 6: Double check the transfer details and confirm the transaction

How can I view my pension savings?
This information is temporarily unavailable in the Mobile Bank, however it will be accessible shortly.
